Explore, share and enjoy Books & Reading

Welcome to the Sr Ann Marie Learning Centre’s Books & Reading website

There are times when you need to share a great book you have read or you need a place to help you discover good books to read. This site aims to provide a digital space for readers to share and connect with other readers, especially readers of young adult (YA) fiction and children’s literature.

Use the tabs above to connect you to a community of readers and good books through:

  • Book Club – access notes and recordings for meetings held about twice a term. A variety of books are shared and discussed during these meetings, including the chosen book or genre for the meeting.
  • Book reviews & recommendations – from students and staff at Cerdon. Here’s your opportunity to interact. Read a review. Does it resonate with you? Does it make you want to add this book to your ‘To Read’ list? Let us know what you think.
  • NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge –  book recommendations for Years 7-9 students participating in the PRC this year. However, anyone looking for a good book to read should check out the PRC lists.
  • Genre lists – a list of curated book lists for particular genres.
  • New books – take a browse through some of the new books in the collection to find what you might like to read next.

Bookmark this page so that you can revisit it easily. You are welcome to respond to our book reviews and recommendations.

Cerdon students: if you have a book you would like to review and share on this site, please use this template to help you complete your book review (don’t forget to make copy first!). We look forward to receiving your review!
